Summer's officially over : ( It's definately fall in Northern Michigan, the trees are turning colors and people are wearing pants. I'm sad that the lazy days around Grandma and Grandpa M's pool are over...time to drag out the sweatshirts and hot apple cider.

Your kids are gorgeous, Stephanie! Don't worry about what your parents think because it is your life to live as you see fit. Your children have already learned a great deal from you and adopting a child, especially one with special needs, will only teach them more patience and compassion. That will be giving them so much, not taking anything away from them. Perhaps they'll have to go without some material things, but the life lessons they learn will be worth far more than toys they break or quickly outgrow.
By the way, I can't tell the name just yet. I need time to decide if it's really the name I want. Evan never felt quite right and I jumped the gun in telling everyone before I knew it was the right name. Sorry. Just pretend you know what it is and you'll get some sleep! ;O)
